What you can expect!

The 3rd annual District of Dreams is a leading fundraising gala and must-attend social event, celebrating the power of art, culture, sport, and recreation in the lives of children and families served by Kids Up Front Edmonton.

The event will take place in the heart of North America’s largest sport and entertainment district at the sophisticated JW Marriott ICE District, and will be attended by local celebrities, community leaders, corporate sponsors, program partners, alumni, and friends of Kids Up Front Edmonton.

Entertainment is at the core of this event. At every turn, guests will find something to experience —

live band and DJ plus a dance floor
entertainment stations with sports and cultural partners
raffles & auctions
mingling with local celebrities
delicious food and drinks

About Entertainment

District of Dreams is at the intersection of FUN and GIVING BACK.

During the gala, we’ll have diverse entertainment options for our guests that go beyond sitting and watching. We call these Audience Engagement Activities. Last gala, we partnered with the Edmonton Elks, Oil Kings, FC Edmonton, and BioWare to host audience engagement activities like live gaming, slapshot, football, soccer, and carnival-like games. This year, we’ll be tapping into ALL of our entertainment partners to see who else wants to join in the fun in a covid-safe way!

You can expect plenty of other attractions including a live band, and a live DJ – the ultimate combo for all music tastes! Last year, we partnered with the Oil City Sound Machine and DJ Harman B. This year, we’ll also have stage “take-overs”. Our Medal level sponsors will share a moment in the limelight with diverse entertainers wow-ing the crowd with their talents.

Our purpose is to create joy, promote inclusion and strengthen communities by providing access to fun, enriching experiences.

Essentially, we make sure that fun is accessible for all children and families in our community, because fun is an important part of healthy childhoods and joyful, inclusive communities.

With something as simple as going out for the evening, you are showing up for our community. You may not realize it but every registration counts. You are

helping our local economy to flourish by giving back and supporting our community. Ultimately, by showing up, you’re helping provide children and families the opportunity to thrive and meet their full potential.

Through our standalone initiatives as well as our work with over 200+ social agencies in Edmonton, Kids Up Front opens the door for deserving children and youth to experiences in arts, culture, sports, recreation and… well… wherever their talents and imagination take them.

About Safety

An event designed for this times

We’re working very hard to create an event that keeps your safety a top priority. We’ll closely follow all new public health announcements and guidelines to ensure that everything we do is with your health and safety in mind. We want this to be an event to remember – for the right reasons.

We will follow all provincial guidelines. You will be able to sit with your cohort and schedule your participation in the multiple entertainment opportunities available. All the equipment you’ll have access to will be sanitized continuously.
